Intersectional Feminist and Humanist
Just graduated from nursing school and am currently preparing for the boards with no shortage of delays beyond my control
I used to play the guitar then the double bass and after a long time I recently started to play the ukulele, which my playing history definitely helped.
I love traveling (roadtrips mostly tbh) and camping! I have always had an interest in photography (grew up online) and I had a polaroid camera when I was younger and it broke. Again I recently got the fujifilm instax wide 400 for film and the kodak pixpro fz45 for digital photos.
During school I did go through times of isolation and stress and frankly overidentified with what I was studying. I crashed and burned, feeling as if the world hated me and wanted me out of it. I also felt very misunderstood. I would by lying if I said these feelings didn't come up but I know how to handle them. I think having a work life balance is a necessity for our times. In the USA, we lack community and based our identity on how well we do fiscally instead of morally. I pray and hope that we can one day live in a society where one does not need to compromise their values to get ahead. It's a harder path for sure but I can confidently say I got to where I am today by doing the inner work using the abilities and resilience God gave me.
Radical Acceptance is also key and my belief that God has the best intentions for me (blessing or lesson!!) has really helped me accept that I can't control everything, there isn't always a loophole, sometimes shit happens and then you live.
